Ive always had a soft spot for Pink Floyd, but it all boils down to simple structures with cool bluesy riffs. I dig on other classics too, Jimi, Beatles, Clapton. But really my Gen X heritage hails from a period in time when music was evolving quickly, from the eighties hair right into the nineties grunge. Iran Contra right up to Monica Lewinski. Yeah, I smoked a lot of herb and wore the same flannel right up until the turn of the century. I wish I still had that! Black and blue plaid with a heavy liner... so comfy... so warm... I think it suffered being used as a shop rag and the rest is history.
Starting out, the idea of living on the road from city to city sounded glamorous and exciting, but the thought of being away from my beautiful wife and family is too much to bear. As an adult, we learn and adapt ourselves into new roles as parents and entrepreneurs but our passions and sense of self still guide us. Every day is a new opportunity to create and evoke. Perhaps even build upon our creations and make them fresh, new, and reach a whole lot of new listeners while we're at it. It's a process, indeed!
I usually play alone, if I'm honest! Its hard to find people to collaborate with when life is so busy! The set list prominently features the new stuff but I have a large catalogue to pull from. Check out the tour page for dates, times, tix, etc! Can't wait to play for you all!
As much as I enjoy making quiet solo performances, there is a part of me that longs for the applause of a few thousand people who came just to hear me. The lights and orchestration and immense soundscape beckons me and someday I yearn to fulfill my dreams of playing a tour every few years or so. Im coming!!
